The College is coeducational and fully residential. Most students are in the 16 to 19 age group. Students are selected on scholarships from more than 80 countries and are represented as follows:
At least 50 per cent of our students will come from developing countries and Eastern Europe. The College has a special interest in attracting a few students with physical disabilities and also has established relations with refugee organizations and the SOS Children's Villages, thus ensuring a strong representation at the College of disadvantaged students (special arrangements are made for the selection of students in these categories). Special emphasis is placed on choosing students from countries which have an active Red Cross Society and those receiving aid from the Nordic governments. Students cannot apply to the college directly. Applications must be made to a particular National Committee, the process of which is fully described in the main UWC website. |
