Theatre Arts - (Higher & Standard) - This highly practical course will give you an introduction to performance skills as well as grounding in the history and theory of theatrical practice and developments. Further areas include the analysis and interpretation of plays from different traditions and cultures, a practical study of the basic principles and practices of theatre production. At Higher Level, the student in consultation with the teacher chooses an individual study. If you have no drama or theatrical experience you are encouraged to study this subject at Standard Level. Students who elect to take this subject can expect to have a strong input with regard to its development.

Visual Arts - (Higher & Standard) - The Art course follows an ideas-based approach to creativity. Technical skill, though useful, is not the top requirement: an inquisitive, imaginative and expressive mind is most important. Students with some previous art experience find the course easier. Beginners will need to do some extra work to gain the necessary experience and confidence.
In the first year, students work on projects involving drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. In the second year students specialise in the area of their choice. Critical thought is a significant element of the course and the research workbook is used for this purpose.
A group exhibition is held at the end of the course, and assessed by a visiting examiner.
